Last night I was invited to a small, intimate surprise party in Upper Rondebosch for my special friend Lesedi S (hereto referred as Jenny Humphrey). It was a glorious affair - I was on time (gasp, I know), styled on them in my Burberry trench and was the one to turn the lights on when Jenny Humphrey walked in, surprised as a virgin with a positive pregnancy test.

Then it was gift time and real insiders know that a birthday party is only as good as its best present (thanks to MTV's "My Super Sweet 16" for that one).

From me, a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" tiara (fit for the teen pop sensation that little J is, #19) and 10 tea light candles.

It seemed all was going well - just another fabulous night in my fabulous Cape Town life.. But then someone tried me. In fact it was a couple of them. uWoah!

Let's just say no one messes with the Gossip Guy and gets away with it; friend or foe, black or white - it ain't safe.

As I reached for the aux chord, some of the girlies pulled a Che Guevara and tried to protest my attempt to save their ears. What a mess! As the OG insider, I like think of myself as CEO of all things entertainment, lifestyle, glitz and glam, darling.

Tonight, I'm sharng New Wine™. If the girls want beer, let them drink that. But here on THE CAPE TOWN INSIDER, we drink the finest of wine - and tonight, we're saying Sangrias, gossip, designer thigh highs and an immaculate lifestyle.
